Development of a core dataset guidelines for the reporting of infection events in immunocompromised patients.

The ASID Immunocompromised Host Special Interest Group is one of seven specialist international societies that have contributed to the development of a core dataset guidelines for the reporting of infection events in immunocompromised patients.

This is the first-ever international multi-society effort to standardise the reporting of infections in studies involving all types of immunocompromised patients which will enable better pooling and analysis of data across studies.

It has just been published in Lancet Infectious Diseases.

Australia is a large contributor to ICH studies internationally and we strongly encourage the use of these core reporting standards for all Australian ICH studies.
