ASID Annual Scientific Conference 2010

The 2010 ASID Annual Scientific Meeting will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre from Wednesday 26 – Saturday 29 May 2010.

This exciting meeting will cover a broad array of cutting edge topics in infectious diseases (not only tropical medicine!). The invited international speakers will present key insights into malaria, vaccinology, and microbial genomics. Other sessions will cover topics including viral hepatitis, mycobacterial disease, infections in intensive care, clinical trials in infectious diseases and much more.

International speakers already confirmed include:

Professor Kevin Marsh - Director of the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) Wellcome Trust programme in Kilifi, Kenya, head of the molecular parasitology group, and Professor of Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford.

Professor Andrew Pollard - Professor of Paediatric Infection and Immunity at Oxford University and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician at the Children's Hospital, Oxford, UK.

Professor Paul Keim - Director of Pathogen Genomics at the Translational Genomics Research Institute, the Regent’s Professor of Biology and the Cowden Endowed Chair of Microbiology in the Department of Biological Science at Northern Arizona University.
