ASID New Zealand Branch Advanced Trainee Travel Grant
Award
This a ward includes travel, registration and accommodation costs to attend any national or international meeting up to the value of $5000
Reimbursement will be made by ASID (NZ) on production of original receipts
Eligibility
- NZ-based advanced trainee in advanced Infectious Diseases (RACP) or Microbiology (RCPA)
- Current member of ASID
- Has not previously been awarded an ASID (NZ) advanced trainee travel grant.
Applications
- Letter with indication of which conference will be attended
- Copy of applicant’s CV
- Abstract that has been or will be submitted to the conference. It will help if the abstract has been accepted.
Send letter, CV and abstract to Richard Everts by mail to Nelson Hospital, Private Bag 18, Nelson, by fax to (03) 546-1288 or by email to richard.everts@nmdhb.govt.nz to arrive no later than the day before the first day of the NZ annual scientific meeting in September each year. You may also hand deliver your application documents to Richard Everts on the first day of the meeting.
Applications will be assessed independently by three members of the ASID (NZ Branch) Committee. Consideration will be given to originality, potential value of the results, personal contribution and the quality of abstract. It may help if the abstract is presented in oral form at the ASID (NZ) annual scientific meeting.
The successful applicant will be announced at the conclusion of the ASID (NZ) annual scientific meeting.
