Please ensure your flights are booked before confirming your details in the online requirements form (see registration page).

Please ensure you book flights to and from Cairns International and Domestic Airport. For further information regarding the airport please visit http://www.cairnsairport.com/

Transfers will be organised based on the flight details you enter when you complete the online requirements form.

Transfer can be arranged for accompanying persons to and from Cairns Airport and Thala Beach Lodge. The transfers cost $30 per person each trip. You will be required to select on the requirements form whether these are required. If they are arriving or departing on separate flights please contact the course secretariat.

If you are attending the course only and not staying in the area longer it is recommended that you book your flights to arrive on Monday 21 June at 11.30am at the latest. There will be the opportunity to use internet facilities, to check in early and to collect the pre-readings if you are at the venue earlier than this. We then recommend that you book your return flights on Friday 25 June at 4pm at the earliest. Transfers could take approximately 1 hour so please allow enough time.

Accommodation

The course venue is the accommodation venue for course participants.

Thala Beach Lodge offers high quality accommodation in individual private bungalows set overlooking the Great Barrier Marine Park, World Heritage listed rainforest and lush tropical beaches. Further information on the venue is at www.thalabeach.com.au

The course fee includes all accommodation in lodges housing one or two persons. Additional fees will be charged for accompanying persons for meals including breakfast. Please view the Accompanying Person Information letter for these rates.

Thala Lodge is suitable for couples. Cots and rollaways can be arranged but space is limited within individual lodges. Additional fees may apply and you will be required to organise payment with the hotel directly.

If you would like to stay for more than four nights, there is the opportunity. The following rates apply:

Family accommodation will be available at a property close by (Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort). Two-bedroom apartments are being arranged at a surcharge to the main course fee. It is your responsibility to organise transfers between both hotels and no breakfast is included. Please view the Accompanying Person Information letter for these rates.

Accompanying Persons Information

Four dinners have been organised during the course and are included in the course fee for registrants. These dinners must be attended by all course delegates. Accompanying persons have the opportunity to also experience these wonderful dinners. Please read the explanations on the Accompanying Person Information document for each dinner and indicate how many additional tickets you would like on the online requirements form.

Tours have been organised for accompanying persons at a reduced rate. These full day tours will be held on Tuesday 22 June and Thursday 24 June.

Tuesday 22 June, 2010 – Daintree (Rainforest) Tour

Cost: $155 per person (tour retails at $165 per person)

Thursday 24 June, 2010 – Reef Tour

Cost: $165 per person (tour retails at $185 per person)

There will be additional charges on board including an Environmental Management Charge of $5.50 per person, upgrades to diving if required and any alcoholic beverages.
